BOXING.
The Christchurch Sports Club decided at a meeting yesterday to stage a match between Eugene Volairo, tho French light-weight, and Harry Casey, the Australian light-weight champion, towards the end of the month. Three amateur preliminary fights would also be arranged. MATCHES FOR MURRAY. (special to "the mess.") DUJTEDIN", January 15. At a meeting of the Otago Bering Association, Keg. Trowern in a. letter stated that he would be prepared to meet Les Hurray at Dunedin for the light-weight title. It was decided to submit the proposal to Murray, and, if passible, to arrange the match to take place in the Exhibition FesItival Ha!l on Peburary 17th. The. Match Committee reported that Charlie JPurdy waa matched to meet Lea Murray at Dunedin on January 30th, • for a prize of £2OO.
