At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Athletic and Cycling Union Mr Meek (Otago) moved the following remit concerning wr6stljtig (catch-as-catch-cah): Stranglehold, full nelson, and breaking of fingers and toes barred; (2) shoulders to be pinned on ground two seconds (pin. fall); (3) no grease or any foreign matter to bo ÜBed on any part of tho body." The mover said that the proposed rule had been acted upon here for quite a nurafcer of years. It was a protection, from the more barbarous styles of wrestling followed in former days. The remit was carried.
