Mrs Leech (Wellington) defeated Mrs Roskrugo (United), 36-8. Particularly in her long shots Airs Lei-h vras in excellent form. Some of Mrs Koskruge's long shots were also fine. Mrs E. A. Smith defeated Mrs lyers. 26-4. It was a runaway game for Mrs Smith from the start. Big breaks did not build lip t-tie score. Mrs Maddren defeated Mrs Oxley, 2G-22. It waa early in the gam© that Mrs Oxley established her lead to one back. Mrs Maddren got in and went to the same Jiocp but by long shooting Mrs Oxlcy reached, four back and the penultimate. Following in and out play, Mrs Maddren won. Mrs 12. A. Johnson defeated Miss Owtird, 26-24. ; This game was good from beginning to ond. ■ Second Draw. Mrs Leech defeated Mrs Tyers. 26-12. Ross (2), 2G-25. , . Evenlv played this gamo proved _ one of the closest in the tournament, resulting in a very good exhibition between father and son. In and out play was followed by A. Ross getting black to penultimate and eventually getting a long shot which finished the game. This made his third long game for the day. Mrs Leech defeated Mrs Tyers, 26-12. IZARD MEMORIAL. Second Sound. R.' Caughley and Mrs Leech (Wellington) defeated A. Gr. F. Ross and Mrs Murray" Aynsfey, 26-21. The' usual mistakes m doubles characterised this same, but Mrs Leerh retained her reputation for long shots. Mtb Smith, one of the promising players in the 1 United Club, played excellent croquet. The came created much interest, and was beautifully played by Lady .Wemyss, who finished in very tee style. Mrs Tjeo defeated Mrs Cbilds, m 6-17. Mrs Childs played a-splepdid game with her long shots.
