Great Britain ■would give inestimablo Droof of lier gratitudo to Italy if she accorded conditions more favourable than those granted Italy l>y tho United States.
Moreover, Italy received no colonial, mandates, whereas Great Britain roeoived a large proportion of the booty of victory. The problem of the gold deposited in England must lie kept distinct from others. Tho gold was given as a pledge, and the pledges must be restored.
