January 6th, which is advertised in this issue, contains the following events Two-lap amateur cycling handicap, two-lap handicap (open to first, second, and third-class riders), three laps first-class hanflicap, 135 yds cash run, 120 yds whippet race, and a 100 yds hurdle whippet handicap. The entries close at the Stadium on Saturday next. A special feature of the programme will. he a three-mile motor-paced race between Willie Mackie and Hector Burnand. Both riders are clever exponents of the art of pace following', and will give a splendid exhibition. The Stadium Company has arranged a match race between H. W. Nesbit. a prominent Australian cyclist with world-wide experience. and Phil O'Shea. tho Dominion sprint champion. The match is to take place at the Stadium on Saturday, January 9th, and will be over three distances.
