LEITHFIELD CLUB. Delightful weather greeted visitors and officials on the occasion cf the official opening of the Leithficld School Swimming and Life-saving Club's season, wh : ch took placo on Saturday afternoon. Mr C. W. Browne., club president, welcomed Miss Sj-me and a party of Christcburch Bwimmcrs, including Mrs Coote, Misaes B. Cooke, and L. Copplestone, Messrs Herd, C. W. bmitli, ana H. G. Smitti. Mr Browne etjted that the baths were . free of debt. He also urged school committeemen of the adja-cent districts to make, arrangements to accept. Mr Howen's otler to tear.h the children to swim.
