TAPU UTTER chool Children s Competition Over 3,000 Entries Received THE PRIZE WINNERS: Over 3,000 entries were received for the Tai Tapu Co-op. Dairy Co.'s School Children's. competition, open to scholars of primary and secondary schools in: Canterbury and on the West Coast. Competitors were not confined to the city,, many being from country districts and from places as far afield as Timaru and : Grey mouth J . * 5 The task set was an essay not exceeding 65 words, on the Deliciousness/ Quality; and Purity of Tai Tapu Butter. Mr. C. T. Aschman, late Principal of the Normal School, kindly consented to act as judge, and he was assisted in the later stages by Mr. H. R. T. Advertising Counsel to the Tai Tapu Co-op. Dairy Co. Ltd. All the envelopes; containing the essays were opened in Mr. Aschman's presence by members 0! then Company's staff, and scrupulous fairness Was observed throughout.
