The Play. Oliver and Allcott hit freely, and sixes and fours were frequent. The fourth century quickly appeared, and scoring was at the rate of two per minnte. Bowling changes were frequent, but ineffective till Higgins get Allcott leg before, and the innings was declared. The partnership yielded 196 runs in soventy-two minutes. Oliver hit seventeen fours and two sixes, and Allcott nine fours sad two sixes. Wagga's second strike opened as disastrously as the first, the aeon being only fifteen when the first wieket fell. The New Zealandors fielded brilliantly in the blazing sun. Allcott was bowling magnificently. Of his first three overs two were maidens. Two runs were scored, and he got one wieket. Wagga fought gamely, but the visitors were too good. Owing to the shower overnight the wicket was slower than, the previous day.
