There were fino entries for the Dominion , Lawn Tennis Championship, the draw for which was mad© this evening. The tournament is to bo held on tho United C.-übs courts, Hagley Park-, from Boxing Day, and. moat of the New Zealand leading players are competing. In tho ladies' events, however, the number of contestants is not large. Tho total entry was 178 as against 180 last year. Seeded players are as follows :—> Men's Singles—G.. OUivier, D. G. France, and-1. A -Seay (Canterbury); H. R. C Wilson, L. France, and J. C. Peacock (Wellington); E. L. Bartleet and A. W. Grii-» fitha (Auckland), and P. Haege (Victoria). Haege recently was picked as seventh man in the Victorian team to play New South Wales, the team- including five Davis Cap players.. He :s only nineteen. Ollivior is the present champion; .Wilson is Wellington's top man, and Bartleet is Auckland's first stria*. In the men's doubles, the seeded pairs arc: J. C. Peacock, N. R. C. Wilson (Wellington), A. L. France, D. G. France. G. OlLLvier, I. A. Soay (Canterbury); A. G. Wallace, C. J. Dickio (Taranaki). In tie ladies' doubles they are: —Misses E. Travers. M. Tracy (Wellington), Misses E. M. Knight, D. Nicholls (Auckland); Misses Marjorie Macfarlane and Marion Macfarlane (Auckland); Mrs W. A. Scott and Miss M. Speirs (Canterbury). Tho seeded pairs in the. mixed doubles are: D. G. Tracy (Wellington). The men's events increased in entry, but tlie ladies' events fell off somewhat.
