I Oddfellows' Lodje. | The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal City of Norwich Lodge was held on Tuesday, when N.G. Bro. A. J. Williams presided over a good attendance. Sick pay I amounting to £SB 16s Bd, and accounts amounting to £124 12s 2d were passed for pavirient, and the receipts of the evening totalled £579 18s Id. Five new members wero initiated into the Lodge. Sea Scouts. x The following Lyttelton Sea Scouts have been selected to go to Dunedin month to attend the Exhibition Jamboree: Scoutmaster L. A. Waters, Assistant-Scoutmaßter B. Bloxam, Ist mate, C. Koskella, 2nd mate, P. Nicholl, No. 1 Crew, W: Gilray (leader), L. Huston, Scott, Norris, Bruce, Childs. No. 2 crew: J. Wallace (leader), J.flHardwicke, D. Lester, Radcliffe, W. Tredenniek, Anderson. No. 3 crew: J. Rhind (leader), J. Wyatt, McHolm, Oakley, Patterson, Austad; Drummer, R. Forsyth, Standard Bearer, I. Carson. Personal. A pleasant function was held at the West Lyttelton school on Tuesday afternoon, when the pupils .of Standard V. entertained the pupils of Standard VI. at a banquet in honour of the -whole of Standard VI. having obtained their proficiency certificates. Fortyfour children were seated at a long table in the infants' classroom. Tho headmaster, Mr W. E. Judkins, presided. The table was artistically arranged by Miss E. V. Bachelor. The 1 banquet was conducted with all the formalities possible. The honour of proposing the toast of "The King," fell to Master Hardy Wilson. The toast of "Standard VI." was. .proposed by Irene Day. Other toasts were: "Standard V.," "The Dux," "The Headmaster," and "Miss Bachelor." During an interval Miss Te Aotukia Manihera, on behalf of the pupils of Standard VI., presented Mr Judkins with a wallet .suitably inscribed. { On Monday the pupils of Standard IV. I of the West Lyttelton School presented their ] teacher, Miss Bachelor, with a vanity box, j to mark their appreciation of the good relations that had existed between the teacher and pupils during ' the year. The' presentation was made by Master Keith Sillars. ]
