Tutchen must have put up a bit of a: record in the Trial Handicap at the Waikato Racing Club's Meeting (says the Auckland "Star"), for ho had no fewer than six horses trained by him erigagedi but not one of them got into the money. They were Gordon Swift, Rangatahi, Bonnie Day, Lusea, Stray Comet, and Muri Aroha. Bryce's stable and is now being trained by his owner Mr G. W. Dransfickl. The trotting mare Theda, who recently changed hands, is in work at Addington under the care of J. Wright. After being in retirement for a few seasons, the local sportsman, Mr J. Geddis, has rejoined the ranks of owners and is working a couple of maidens at headquarters, a straightout trotter ,by Petereta from Mine Yet and a pacer by Cathedral Chimes from a half-sister to Lady Embrace. Logan Chief is showing signs of unsoundness, and at present is on the easy list. G. S. Smith . has sold: the pacer Dusky Pointer to Mr J. Norris, of Lyttelton. J. J. Kennerley's team has been strengthened by the inclusion of a two-year-old gelding by Great, Audubon from Grace Darlington. The youngster is a natural pacer and is owned by 'Mr J. Fleming, of Cheviot.

The Palmerston North-owned mare Bicblour struck herself prior to the opening day at Nelson and was unable to fulfil her engagements.

At Ballarat on' November 11th, the champion pacer Happy Voyage, won the Ladies' Braclet of one mile and a furlong in 2m AS 2-ss, equal to 2m 21s for a mile, and finished second in the Open Handicap of one mile and a quarter to Count Bingen in 3m os. Happy Voyage was conceding the winner 42yds and in view of the slow times in both races, it looks as if the ,Australian-bred pacer is on the down grade. , The sale is reported.at a bigh figure of Mr W. J. Carter's pacing gelding Great Storm bv Great Audubon from Storm "Way, to Mr E. Bergmav, of Perth.

The ex-Oamaru-owned pacer Tiger Mac was successful in winning the Lightnins Handicap of one mile and a quarter in 3m 3 1-os at the Northern Tasmanian T.C.'s Meeting early in the month.

The annual meeting of members of the* Canterbury Owners' and Breeders' Association will be held to-morrow at 8 p.m.
