CHRISTCHURCH CLUB. In the semi-finals of the Densiston Cup competition, played at Shirley on Saturday, A;. W. Morgan (handicap H) beat E. J. Puraphrey (4), 2 up, and C. A. Seymour (1) and Dr. P. S. Tho first afternoon" open competition waa commenced at Harewood during the weekend, and was won by N. H. Skinner. The course ha* improved considerably during tho last few weeks, all the fairways having been cut with a triple mower, and the greens are looking as well as possible. If sufficient inducement offers the committee expect to continue these afternoon matches during- the summer months. Members of all clubs and visitors are cordially invited, and it is to bo hoped that outaide clubs will avail themselves of this opporml t3r to play over the Parewood links.
