In another column the Railway Department advertises train arrangements in connexion with races at Timavu on November 26th and 38th. At the evening service the Rev. R. B. ISnsiey will be the preacher, and Mrs H. Jiulholland will sing the aolo, "Lead Kindly Light " The, annual dinner of the Marist Old Boys' Club will be 'held in the Carlton Cafe on Monday next-at 6.30 p.m. A jumble e»le will be held in the Foresters' Hall, Oxford terrace, at 2 p.m. to-day. A garden fete will be held'at the Jubilee •Home, "Woolston, on Saturday, 'December sth. • A concert in aid of St. Saviour's orphanages will bo given in tho Caledonian Hall on Thursday night. A garden fete vill be held at' "Riverlaw," St. Martins, on November 28th, in aid of the Sunday School building fund. A dance recital by the • pupils of Miss Bessio Macdonald will be given in the Choral Hall on Friday and Saturday next. The Woolstcn Band' will play in the Victoria square rotunda on Sunday night. The annual show of the Banks Peninsula A. and P. Association will be he!d in tho Awa Iti Domain, Little River, on Tuesday. The children's fancy dress carnival of the Papanui Horticultural Society will be held in tho hall on December 4th.
