The Parliamentary Commission cm Foreign Affairs and the Army examined General FJirraih late High Commissioner in Syria, who detailed the operations against the Druses. The bombardment of Damascus with a few shell?, he said, ended the revolt and prevented a more tragical disturbance. Replying to questions, General Sarrai! said that, although certain local British agents had not maintained the necessary reserve, he had no complaint to make to the British Government. He entertained the best relations with the British representatives in-Palestine, and contended that the Druse revolt, was an episode in the Islamic movement. A communique issued after the examination of General Sarrail says that M. Brinnd, during the proceedings, paid a tribute to the loyal and cordial collaboration of the British authorities throughout the events in Syria, declaring that such collaboration would also be afforded in the future'. A semi-official communique records the arrival of a Syrian envoy, en route to Europe, in order to ask the Loague of Nations, in the name of the Syrians, for the transfer of Trance's mandate to auother Power. REBEL FORCES QUIET. (RECTES'S TELEGRAMS.) (Received November 19th, 9.50 p.m.) PARIS, November IS. A telegram from Beirut states that there were no rebel operations yesterday. A few bands were noticed cast of Damascus. Eeports in the newspapers that Aleppo, Palmyra, and Deir ez-Zor have joined the rebels are baseless.
