COURT STAR OF CANTERBURY.
Th'e Court Star of Canterbury, No. 2309, A.0.F., entertained' the Anchor Lodge o£ the United Order of I>ruids at » spcial and card match on Saturday evening, in the Foresters' Hall, Oxford terrace. The match was won -by the Court Star, after a close contest, by 74 games to 03. There was a large attendance of brothers from both orders, and after the match finished supper was partaken of, and a number of toasts and musical items were given. The visitors were welcomed by Chief Ranger Bro. C. A. Eldridge, who acted as M.C. Among the toasts honoured were those of "The King Bard," the "Visiting Brothers of the Anchor Lodge.", and Arch Druid Bro. V. Jenson and Bros. Hobson, Champ and McCree responded on behalf of the visitors. Musical and vocal items were rendered hy Bros. Jackson, Thompson, I'eagram,, Hobson, Cordntr, Williams, ■ Eastwick, H. Hutton, and C. A. Eldridge, and were heartily appreciated. A vote of thanks was passed to Bro. Jack Eon, of the Anchor Lodge, for his services as pianist during the evening.
