ST. SAVIOUR'S GUILD.
ANNUAL REPORT. The fifteenth • annnal report of the Council of St. Saviour's Guild stales ' that tho Church continues to do groat work on behalf of tho orphaned and destitute children of the diocese. The balance-sheet shows expenditure to exceed the income to the extent of £2383 9s 7d, of which £1668 18s 4d is accounted for by writing off depreciation on buildings, jEuraiture. house linen, and other items. Subscriptions and donations were practically the same as last year, and maintenance fees again increased. There was a falling off in offertories, also in the proceeds of entertainments and school fees. The sum of £3827 4s lid was expended on buildings during the year, the major portion being on account of the rectory and extensions to the Boys' Home, and £1076 14s Sd was paid on account of tho Holiday House, Sumner. This building was used for the first time last. Christmas. Acknowledgment was made of the following legacies left during the. year:—£loo from tho late Alfred Atyco, £IOO 'from the late Marv Cholmondcley; £270 12s from the l3to Agnes Jameson, £IOO from the late Gertrude Tindall. ./ At the present time the number of children in the three homes is 252, and in addition the Guild has been responsible for a largo number of toys and girls who have been out of work.
