Dance. The 4;vUelton Marine Band held another most successful dance in the Club Hall on Saturday evening, when there was a large attendance. The band orchestra provided the music for the dancing, and Mr It. Whitford was M.C. ■' i Gnn Club. The Lyttelton Gon Clhb held a very successful shoot on Saturday, nineteen shooters taking' part. The first match was twelve birds for two club trophies. H. Grennell and A, Wyatt tied for the first priie, and "Wyatt won the shoot-off. J. McLeod, "W. Muir, and Miller divided the sweepstakes. The club's official opening will take place on Saturday next, when a ladies' day will be held. The shooting will. be for two prizes , for ladies. - Harbour Light Theatre. i There was a well-filled honse at the Harbour Light Theatre on Saturday night, when i "Reno," a First National drama, starring Carrafel Myers, was screened, together with a comedy, gazette, and scenic. In Miss Florence Scapini, who appeared at the evening session, was heard a violinist of great charm, and the three numbers which she played were all too few. The complete programme of pictures will be repeated to-night. To-morrow "Masters of Men," featuring i Cullen Landis, -will The supporting programme includes a further episode, of , "The Iron Man," a comedy, and gazette. t A "special attraction at both the matinee and evening session will be the reappearance of . Bowling. ✓ ; The Lyttelton Bowling Club opened its seaeon on Saturday afternoon under ideal weather conditions, while the green was in " excellent order. There were a large number ' of visitors present, including representatives from other clubs. 1 The president, Mr W. T. Foster, welcomed the guests, and in declaring the season open ' congratulated the winners of the club competitions in the previous season. He also re- ' ferred to the retirement, as green superintendent, of Mr H. H.
