GUN EXPLODES.

YOUNG MAN WOUNDED. (rHESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) HAMILTON, October 6. Thomas Ellis, aged 20 years, was admitted to the Waikato Hospital, suffering from a gunshot woirrtd in the calf of one of his legs. The young man had been out rabbit shooting, and upon his return he was engaged in removing the cartridges from his gun when the weapon exploded, portion of the charge entering his leg. He is making good progress.
