ACCOUNTANT STUDENTS' SOCIETY.
The final meeting of the session of the Christchurch Accountant .Students' Society was held on Monday evening, Mr R. 0. McLaren presiding o or a good attendance o; members. Mr W. T. Whittingham. in announcing the results of tiie bo/jK-kceping examination, stated that this year there had been more candidates than ever. Mr A. 11. Hurt was declared the winner for the first prize «f i's as, presented by Mr Wluttingham, mid Mr T. George the winner ui the" second priic of £1 Is. presented by Mr 1!. J. McLaren. A vote of thanks was accorded Messrs Whittingham and McLaren for the -s?iit of the prizes, and for their efforts to stimulate interest i.inong the junior members. The next business was in the nature of a question box, in ti.ir. u l' the unesturns had supplied to the secretary before the meeting, snd in some cases answers had been prepared. The secretary took the questions one by one, and members were invited t<> answer lliem if they could. The majority of those present took part in tho proceedings. At the conclusion of the meeting the chairman r<..'erred to the approaching examinations, and Wished candidates success in their ventures.
