REMAINS CREMATED. (raBSS ABSOCIATIOH TBL*G*AI£.) WELLINGTON, September 16. Tho remains of the late Rev. -John Dawson, (jenera! Secretary of the New Zealand Alliance, were cremated at Karori yesterday. The esleem in which he was held was shown by the very large attendance at the preliminary seivice in the Methodist Church, Taranaki street, where the principal speakers were the Rev. James Cocker, Messrs L. M. Isitt, M.P., and C. M. Luke. The service was conducted by the Rev. T. R. Richards, of New Plymouth, president of the Now Zealand Methodist Conference. All churches were jepresented, and many public men. including all the Wellington members of Parliament, were present.
