HOCKEY.
THIRD GRADE FINAL. The final of the third grado competition between 'Wharenui and Sydenham was played a* Lancaster Park on Saturday, and resulted in a win for Wharenui by three goals, scored by G. Fullwood, Davis, and Henry, to two, scored by Burko and Pierce. LADIES' REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS. -The following teams have been selected to play against Ashburton, at Ashburton, on' Saturday next: — A Team —Goal Miss E. Churchill; backs, Misses "R. Tilleyshort and A. Bruere; halves, G. Dickson, V. Mortland, and H. Down; forwards, M. Mounsey, N. Holmes, P. Schluter, I. Johnston, and P. Sim. ' B Team—Goal, Miss R. Pearcc; backs, Mißses I. Ayson and E. Tilleyshort; halves, M. Dickson, A. Colombus, and M. McLachlan; forwards, R. Jeffrey, G. Campbell, K. Nankivell, J. Sfcirk, and E. Preddy. Emergencies—A Team: Misses M. Webber and Ei Baylis. B Team: A. Pennal and another. The teams will assemble at the railway station at 8.30 a.m., and will leave by the 8.50 express. Any player unable to make the trip must notify the secretary or Miss' Digby at once. ' /
