SHOT DEAD.

ACCIDENT AT NEW BRIGHTON.

Andrew Giffney, aged 27 years, was accidentally shot dead at his residence, SO Osborne terrace, North New Brighton, lasi> evening.

Giffney and B. J. Diedrioh were ejsmininc some guna, and when Giffney was looking at a Winchester, repeating rifle it went off, and the ballet lodged in his heart There were two cartridges in the rifle.

An inquest will probably he held to-day.
