A demonstration strike was carried out by Austrian civil servants, who assembled in the Town Hall and resolved that Austria's representative at the Geneva Conference should draw the attention of the League of Nations to their intolerable situation. The demonstrators included officials of the chief criminal court, where despite vehement threats from the judge the strikers interrupted the trial of a burglar who was forcibly removed from the dock. Most pf the warders and officials quitted the buiHjng after locking the doors.
