MOTORS COLLIDE.
MINOR DAMAGE DONE. Aii accident to two motor-cars which fortunately was attended with no serious result beyond damage to .one car, occurred at the'intersection of- Nayland street and Wakefield avenue, opposite the Sumner Post Office at about 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. A Ford car was coming down Naylaud street from Clifton on the wrong side of tho road,-it is alleged, and just as it approached Wakefield avenue it met a car driven by Mi" S. Rowe, of- Sumner, who was coming along tho avenue towards the township. It was then too late to avoid a collision and the Ford struck .the other car, which'had a
stop and a rear mudguard considerably buckled. As ifc was the heavier ear, it was not damaged to the same extent as the Fortl, which had the -windscreen partially smashed, the steering izcnr disabled and tiro of the wheels buckled. After a fen- repairs had been effected. the 6a r was able to proceed to Cliristchurch under its own power. ANOTHER COLLISION. The above is one of the many collisions reported in these columns during the past twelve months. These collisions arc certain to co6t the car-owner n considerable sum unless we take the risk under one of our comprehensive policies.
