OLD COLONIST DIES.
SIXTY-SEVEN YEARS IN N.Z. (SPZCIKh TO "THI PBISS.") BLENHEIM, August 17. 3lr John Trengrore Williams, whose death has occurred at the age of 75 years, was one of the oldest residents of the Mount Pleasant district, Marlborough. He was born in South Australia, and came to New Zealand with his mother and <step-father (Mr Isaac- Parfitt) at the age of eight years Ho lived for short periods at Tuapcka Creek, (Jtago, at Christchurch, and at Te Aute. Hawke's Bay, finally removing in 1860 t.) Pieton and WaitoJii Valley. Alter ten veor s as a sawmill worker and 18 V cars in the local railway service, he "successfullv engaged in farming. He leaves a wife, four sons and five daughters. One of the daughters is Mrs K M. Fleming, of ltangiora.
