This unsolicited tribute to tho City's Police Force. was made to a repre-r sentative of "The Press" ou tiat'urday afternoon by Commander "VV. B. "Woodson, officer in command of tlie Shore Patrol attached to the United States Navy. Regarding Thursday night's incident, the Commander appreciated greatlv the way tho newspapers had handled the affair, and said the situation was now perfectly clear as far as the sailors were concerned. H© had ordered the men back to their ships as a precaution against any further occurrenco wliiih might have arisen.
