'Some years ago, the Sisters of Nazareth purchased the property ot Mr John Hall, of Middleton, and converted the house into an orphanage for boys. The new foundation was called at. Joseph's Home," and there, little orphan bovs find a homo in the real sense of*the word. The Sisters give up everything that the world holds dear to spend their lives in the service of these children, and the smiling faces of heajtby,..happy hoys snow how -successful is their work. Iho S'sters look for no praise and expect', no reward here, hut yet their great work has won for thorn the admiration and appreciation of the community. The boys there receive a thorough education' and go out into the world a credit to the Sisters and to the Dominion. For some time past tne Sisters nave been seriouslv hampered in their work owing to lack of proper accommodation. To remedy this, an up-to-dato laundry and an oratory have been erected. The room which was used as an oratorv is now available ior the nurserv children. The Sisters are now faced 'with the problem of detrayine; the expense? incurred and look with confidence to the people to assist them. On Aujru«t 2.lrd. the new oratory trill he blessed for Divine worship bv the Most Rev. Dr. Brodie. at 3 p.m. The Sisters extend an invitation to all to come to the opening ceremony. Then the people will have an opportunity of assisting them in thengreat work for God and God's poor. 6
