AT WEMBLEY.
KING AND QUEEN ATTEND. INSPECT NEW ZEALAND PAVILION. (By CABLE —PBE3S ASSOCIATION"—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, August 12. Their 3lajesties paid a surprise visit to Wembley to-day and toured tbe Empiro pavilions. They were lieartilj' cheered by the crowds. On entering the Australian pavilion they were greeted by the broadcast appeal: "We ask you to buy British products in preferenco to those outsido 3'our own Empire. Their Majesties spent three-quarters of an hour in the Australian pavilion at Wembley, this being their first real visit this year. Tho King described Australia's new Wembley display as a wonderful effort. Listening to the loud speakers' exposition of Australian resources and attractions for migrants, he laughingly said: 'That's the right kind of stuff to give them. It i 8 all-important that the people should be taught to trade Imperially. '' Tho pavilion authorities presented the Queen with a jewel-box made of Australian wood, and t Jie King was similarly presented with a travelling rug of Australian wool, with a bridge set attachment in a wooden case. The Queen is specially interested in tho bakery and demonstrations of the use of Australian flour. Their Majesties were' impressed with the model of Sydney harbour, which recalled their visit in 1901. Tho King observed: "It i 3 an exceptionally fine representation." t Their Majesties then went on to the New Zealand display, tho King remarking that the pavilion had greatly improved in comparison wjth last year. He complimented tho authorities on having so successfully developed tho artistic side. The King was particularly interested m the wool exhibits, commenting on the friendly rivalry between Australia and New Zealand and South Africa in tho "world's wool supplies. The party also devoted considerable time to an inspection of the butter, cheese, and frozen meat exhibits. Tho Queen was most impressed by a depiction of Hotorua, of which she had a distinct recollection.
