RICHMOND SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
* Mr F. Talbot presided at the monthly meeting of the Richmond School Committee. The headmaster renoried that the roll number was SSO, with an average attendance c£ 540 The schcol had teen visited by Injectors Krymond and Htalam, byi Dr. Phi-'ipps, acd the r.urse, und by the drill instructors, Miss Greenwood and Messrs Webb and Barnes. About £'loo would be in hand fiom the recent fair. The Education Beard wrote elating that the town member of the Building- Committee would report on the fencing required en the new site It wss resolved to proceed with the schema of improvements t» the new site as suggested by Mr Moody, the Boards agricultural instructor. Votes of thanis were accorded to the Kiwi Concert Party, who had provided a concert for the school funds, and to Mr W. Pedlar for his pit ef trees The secretary instructed to miue all arrangements' for the official opening ceremony neW
