ANOTHER ADDITION. (SPICIIL TO "THI PKBM.") WELLINGTON, July 23. Enquiries in regard to tho filling of tho position- vacated by Mr. I>. G. Clark elicited the fact from the Minister of Finance (H6n. \\\ Nosworthy) that the Government has decided that tho land and income-tax branch is to be constituted a separate Department of State under ohe head, and that the land and deeds and stamp duties branches will also bo constituted a separate Department under one head.
It is understood that tho appointments will bo made at an eariy date by the Public Scrviee Commissioner.
