Tho ''Sunday Express" lobbyist affirms that Cabinet is likely to favour a slight modification in the Admiralty programme, and also hopeß to counterbalance some of the new expenditure by economics.
It will review the position of all dockyards and the rates of pay of Naval Air Force ratings. COMPROMISE SOUGHT. REDUCTIONS IN PAY SUGGESTED (ACSTBALIAX ASK Jf.Z. Probably accommodation will be reached without resignations from the Committee. Cabinet suggests a saving which eventually will amount to at least £4,000,000 a year by reducing tho pay of future recruits, those of the Army to the extent of 20 per cent, Navy 15 per cent., and the Air Force 10 per cent;
