ORANGE LODGE.
Tho Loyal Orange Institution, Christchurch, held its" annual social aud dance in the Orange Hall on Saturday night, and its annual church parade yesterday afternoon. The Mayor, Mr J. K. Archer, was present at both functions. A big procession, members being in Lodge regalia, was held from the Orange Hall to the Wesley Church, Fitzgerald avenue. There were present visitors from Kaiapoi, Rangiora, Springstbn, Leeston, and Southbridge, and the Royal Black Receptories and representatives of the Grant! Lodge and ladies' lodges were in attendance. The parade was headed by the Christchurch Highland Pipe Band. At the church, Worshipful Brother G. Haxell, C.G.M., was chair- | man! The Rev. E. D. Patchett conducted the service. Wor. Bio. the Rev. ,W. Tanner, D.IXM., led the gathers in prayer, and an address on "TEe Qualifications of an Orangeman" was given by Bro. W. J. Knighton, D.G.C. Hymns and anthenis were sung, and there were two solos* "Arise 0 Sun." hv Mr W. C. Mann, and "On Eagle's Wings," by Miss Grace Lomas.
