AKAROA ROAD BLOCKED.

ANOTHER SLIP. Another slip on tTi'e Christ-church side of the Lake Forsyth Hotel, where gangs of men have been at work for over a week clearing away tho fclips that came down during tho recent heavy rain, has blocked the main Akaroa road. The mail contractor had to transfer his mails to a car waiting on the C'hristchureh side yesterday, and ho does not Mnyvr when he will be able to get a clear run through. Ordinary motor traffic is not yet travelling on that portion of the road. Only the mail car had been allowed to jass through the narrow track which had been cleared. The Summit road between Ln Bon's and Lone; Bay is again blocked. This portion is just now in a shocking condition, tho result of heavy motor lorry traffic after last week's rain. The driver of the Eastern Bays mail car has had some unenviable experiences this week on that section of his run. More than once he lias been held up for two or three hours. After leaving Lo Bon's, lie now finds it better to return to Akaroa, via Okain's summit and Duvauchelle..
