—■ » The executive committee of the Canterbury Horticultural Society met last night, Mr O. W. B. Anderson presiding. It was decided to bold the special show 6n September 2-lfh and 25th, and that the gladiolus and dahlia show be held on February 11th and 12th. It was unanimously decided that the Society offer a trophy to the Sweet Pea and Carnation Society for competition iimohgst their members for carnations or sweet peas. It wa.3 agreed that a combined rose show and fete bo held in the- Botanic Gardens in November. The date will have to be arranged with the curator of the Gardens. Sub-committees were set'• up to work in connexion with the various shows and report at a-special meeting to be held on the 2 7th inst. • .'■..•
