A JOY-RIDER FINED.

(rMSS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAM.) HAMILTON, July 9. In tho 3lagistrate's Court a jockey named Harold James Tinker was charged with converting a car to his own use without colour of right, and also with dangerous driving and driving without a license. Evidence was given that the car was driven swiftly and skidded and went over a hank. The owner had not given accused permission to use the car. Accused said he had been sitting in the car with the owner and some other men. Tho owner left them, and ma.ii suggested a ride, saying the owner would not mind.

Accused was fined £lO on each of the first two charges, and £1 on tho third.
