An endeavour is to be made to give West Coast school-children an opportunity to visit the American Fleet when it is lying at Lyttelton, and any of the officers and men.who so desire to come to thß West Coast and see its scenic glories. West Coast Bugby Union. Mr A. A. Adams occupied the chair 1 at the weekly meeting of the West Coast Biigby Union. l «, It was resolved to request the selec- '\. tors to nominate players for the inter- ; Island match. .* A supporter offered a handsome cup g for a junior knock-out competition, and pho was accorded a vote of thanks. It was resolved to invite the Asbbur-Sub-Union to send a representative J, ten Wto the Coast. , In answer, to a telegram asking for confirm|tion of the representative fixture, the Golden Bay Union stated that the matter would receive every consideration after the Seddon Shield matches had been played. Mr H. Casey was appointed referee in the BuUer-West Coast match, and Mr Adams manager of the local team.
