The committee dealing with the matter is called upon to make a nomination of Mr Lawry'.s successor at the lf)2t> conference, and lias decided to nominate the Rev. M. A. Rugby Pratt, at present stationed at Palmerston North. Since Mr Lawry took up tho position fourteen years ago tho work lias practically doubled, due, in part, to the amalgamation of the Primitive Methodist Church with the Methodist Church. When Mr Lawry retires two years hence he will have completed fifty rears' service as amnistorof the Methodist Church in New; Zealand.
