* The IVpanui branch of the British and Foreign Uibie Society held their annual meeting or. Saturday, at Mrs Morrow's house in Si. Oames avenue. There, were aboui -40 present, including collector's and others interested in the work. The chairman (the Ecv. "tV. li. Orbcli) briefly referred to t:io work of the Societv in Xciv Zealand under the three former ".Xcw Zealand fceretariej, -Messrs Kobjohna, Spencer, and Thompson. lie introduced the- llev. David Cuiucr, the present .\ew Zealand secretary, who gave an interesting- and earnest addr«s on the wonderfully wide and iarleaelurig ko::-: of the Society. It now printed the liTblo i:: N ;72 languages, and nearly nil tH missionary societies depended upon it lor xli2 Scriptures they used in their work, and rally 10,003,000 copies were- distributed Jksj year.
