AMBULANCE SEAPLANES.
A now r.mbulance seaplane has just been supplied to British "Guiana by the Fnircy Aviation Company, Limited, and has emerged with satisfaction from its first teit in that climate, which at the time provided a temperature of 100 degrees. Tho- main purpose of the machine is tho conveyance of feve'. - patients from tho up-country estates to the Georgetown Hospital. J3ofore the advent of the- seaplane- this journey occupied from 17 to 21 days, now it can be effected in two hours. The official opening ceremony was carried out bv the Governor of the Colonv, Sir Graeme Thompson, who subsequently flew over Georgetown and the surrounding district . The plane is the first in the country, and in view of its success and the exist'ino- difficulties' of transport, it is confidently expected that .great developments "will result from this pioneer woik. .
