HEAVY RAIN IN POVERTY BAY.
(FBZSS association telegram.) GISiBOILNE, June 1. Heavy rain has fallen in tho JSa&t Coast districts, and traffic is interrupted. Rufttorea is at present isolated by road slips. During the forty-eight hours ended 9 a.m. to-day, eight and a-half inches were recorded at Ruatorea. While crossing a flooded stream, the North Tokomaru Bay coach was carried over two chains down stream before reaching the hank.
