SHIPPING NOTES. The Manuka is duo to-morrow from Melbourne, via, Bluff and Dunedin. She is to sail in the afternoon on the arrival of the 4.5 train from Christchurch, for Wellington and Melbourne. The K*mo loads to-day for Napier and Gisborae, und sails this afternoon.

The Wingatui, which arrived yesterday from Auckland, via Wellington, is to sail to-day for Dunedin. The Kaiapoi is to a»il to-morrow for Auckland direct with a full cargo of produce. The Holmdale is to load to-morrow for Wellington and Wanganui. Tho Wairau loads to-morrow for Blenheim.

The Oitthi isi dee on Saturday ifrom Timaru to load for Kelson and New Plyazoulh. She tails from here via Wellington. The Ketoa should "be here to-day from Timaru. She loads for Auckland and aails for that port direct The Wanaka is expected to load to-mor-row for Auckland. She sail* -ria Wellington. The CaJm is due to-day from Wellington and sails this cfternoon for Bluff, Dunedin and Timaru. The Storm should be here to-morrow from Timaru to load for Wellington and Wanganui. The Ripa is expected on Friday from TSmaru. She is to sail in the afternoon with cargo for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. Captain H. Dryden has been appointed master ox the Navuai rico Captain T. B. Sewell, who is awa'ting instructions Captain H. S. Wbyb»;rn has resumed command of the Kaikorai. The New Zealand Shipping Company has been advised by cablegram thai the liner Ttotoruft wiled from Southampton on April 23rd for Wellington, Timaru. and Port Chalmers. AUCKLAND HARBOUR BOARD.

The Auckland Harbour Board to-day decided on the recommendation of the chairman to make a reduction of one penny in the pilotage ratea. The chairmin in his annual review referred to the Board's increasing revenue. The amount of £3370 had been written off for the cost of the demolition of the damaged portion of Western Wharf, and the expenses of the Commission of Enquiry, and £25,350, the estimated valuo of tho damaged portion. A record amount of 1,867,620 toiw of cargo was handled at the Auckland wharves during the year.

The Kiawarra is due from Wellington on Monday with case oil from Melbourne for discharge. She will sail that day for Wanganni.

The Union Company expect the Kahika from Dunedin on May 6th, to take cargo » 0 *; vVestport and Greymonth direct. The N.M. and A. Company advise that the lvaramea will arrive from Oamaru about tho end of next week, to load meat and general cargo for Great Britain.
