SHOW GROUND IMPROVEMENTS.
CATTLE PAVILION STARTED. The Addington Show Grounds present a very busy appearance just now owing to the work in hand in conneifjn with the new cattle pavilion and the building which is to house the new bar and provide accommodation for attendants on stock at the Canterbury A. and P. Association's Metropolitan Show. The manner in which the Show has expanded in recent years has necessitated these improvements being put in hand. The buildings on the sites of the new structures have been removed, thus leaving the ground clear. A start has been made with putting in the foundations of both buildings. The cattte pavilion, which is to be 310 feet long by 114 feet wide, will take up the greater portion of the space' between the grandstand and the new entrance from Westenra street. It will accommodate in all 414 show cattle. The building containing the new bar and the accommodation for attendants on stock will be erected at the back of the grandstand.
