AUCKLAND, April 27. Benjamin Crawford, married, with five children, was found dead ia bed at his home to-day. A gas tube from a jet was near him. At the inqnest to-night, a verdict that death was dao to suffocation from gas-poisoning, selfadministered, while in a -state of depression, was returned.
