-STUDENTS' STRIKE THREAT.

A warm debate in the Chamber of Deputies on the rioting in tho Latin Quarter on March 28th terminated at 3 o'clock in the morning with a vote of confidence in the Government, by 31S votes to 220.
M. Albert, Minister of Education, condemned tho movement as political, and refused to countenance the sabotaging of University education or recognise the right of students to appoint professors.
According to tho newspapers, the recently-formed Committee of Defeneo of University Liberties has issued a manifesto calling on tho students to declare a 48-hour strike.
[Recently there was a clash between Eoyalist and Socialist students over the appointment of Professor Georges Scelle, principal of ttie Ministry of Justice and an ardent Socialist, to the chair of International Law, the nomination being denounced aa an act of political favouritism.]
