When the stationmaster at Green Lane railway station arrived to commence duty this morning, he found th» safe waa blown open by a charge of gelignite, and a canvas cashbagsfcoien. Entrance was effected by breaking office window. The casnbag was found on the railway line. It had been open and the contents, comprising £l* 10s 7d, £l2 13s 4d in cheque and the balance in silver, stolen. This makes the third case of safebreaking in Auckland reported this week.
