A CLASH OF DATES. (PBESS ...ASSOCIATION TZLEGniM.) . - MURCHISON, February 17. The executive of the Murchison Axemen's Association passed a strong resolution last evening, protesting against the action of the New Zealand Union in grarfting a meeting to Raetibi on March 20th, clashing with the championship fixture at Murchison on the 2lSt. ' The latter date was selected on the recommendation of the union, to avoid a clash with Taihape. The Murchison executive considers approval of the Northern Club's programme for the date mentioned would not be in the best interests of sport generally.
