The "Daily Express" Rome correspondent understands that the Italian Government does not deny that the Angle-Persian. Ootapdny 'a position -in regard to important oil concessions granted by the Albanian Government is sound from a legal viewpoint, but at the same time it is contended that the possibility of oilfields being developed near the Adriatic coast is fraught with strategical consequences, qlosely concerning Italy, whose rights cannot bo disregarded. [The concessions have been the subject of a formal protect to Albania from the United States, Prance, and Italy. The original agreement, signed in 1022, gave the company definitely the exclusive rights over Albanian oilfields, but tho protests of other Powers resulted in the voluntary omission of certain areas by the company. Tho modified agreement comes up for ratification shortly.]
