"THE JUTLAND SCANDAL."
CASE SETTLED.
(by ciiii—pftfcss A^sociATidK—co^iiiOHT.) (fcEUti&'S TfcLBOBAIJS.)
LONDON) February 13,
A settlement in Mr Fiis6ii Young's ftetion is announced in the Chancery Division. Mr Archer, for the plaintiff, emphasised that a settlement had been reached because Mr FilßOri YbUttg, while he wanted to test whether it was right for anyone to incorporate the whole of an article in a book, except under very exceptional circumstances, now realised that the matter might bring into litigation the names of very great public servants} and he w&s very anxious to avoid the appearance of anything of that sort. Sir Duncan Kerley, for Admiral Sir Keginald Bacon, said that a new edition of the book had been prepared merely giving extracts from Mr Filson Young's article.
[Mr Filson Young applied for an injunction restraining the publication of Admiral Bacon's book, "The Jutland Scandal," on the ground of its embodying the whole of ah article on the subject which. plaintiff had contributed to another publication.]
