CANTERBURY CHAMPION-
SHIPS.
The attendance at tho English Park Stadium on Saturday afternoon was very poor, but beautiful weather prevailed for tho Canterbury championship and comblnod clubs' meeting. J. J, Brpwnlee regained his reputation for the sprint, securing tho 100 yds title in 10 1-osoc, and A. E'. Lairig „nd F. W. Large made a fine finish in the mile, Laing winning in 4min 53 4-ssee. The Tbroo Miles Cycle Championship saw S. C. Forrestor. make a good win, doing tho distance "in Bmin 13 i-ssec. *

For three lays Crawahaw was prominent.
