Kirk, chairman of the Not Zealand Golf Council, recently named the first twelve' New. Zealand players, in his' opinion, and no one is; in better position td judge' or to niako an- unbiased selection than he. Air F "VV- 'Humnhries, honorary tecretarv" of the Oamaru : Golf Club, has forwarded the followin 2 concerning the new c-ourse being established there. From this it would appear that the Oamaru golfers are an enthusiastic crowd and are going about acquiring their new course in a businesslike mannei :-?\» North Otago Golf Club (Oamaru). which for a number of years has enjovod the reputation of a most excellent nine-hole course on the outskirts of the t'own, has winged. its flight to an eighteen-hole course on the coast, within' a mile and a half. of the town centre. The new links, covering an area of 104 acres, is ideally situated and abounds with natural bunkers which will require first-class golf to negotiate.
